1. Insert numeric constant from Functions -> Numeric palette

  2. Click on the numeric icon to bring up the numeric subpalette. Click on the constants. In LabVIEW, blue indicate integers and orange for real numbers.

  3. Insert Multiply from Functions -> Numeric palette

  4. To create the Analog Input constants, right click with Wiring tool from the Tools Palette and select Create->Constant

  5. When the blank Analog Constant appear, use the Operating tool to select the appropriate input channel by clicking on it.

  6. Finally, use the Wiring tool from the Tools Palette to wire the icons as shown in the above block diagram.

  7. Go back to the Front Panel

  8. Click the Run button to run the VI. Just like in exercise 1, make sure that the com port setting is correct and click OK. Run the VI several times and shine a torch light to the LDR to create different light intensity and observe the result

    Did you see this instead? It is a Broken Run button. It indicates that the VI cannot run due to errors. When you click on the button, a pop up window will list the errors. Make the corrections until you get the normal Run button.
