The Light Application Adaptor has a Red, Yellow, Green LED and switch connected as shown
insert
the EMANT300 Initialisation.VI
and EMANT300
Close.VI
from
Functions palette using Select a VIRight mouse click to bring up the Functions Palette. Bring your mouse to Select a VI and click on the icon. Go to the Drivers folder and locate the VI library EMANT300.llb Select the two VIs
From the same VI library, insert the EMANT300 Config DIO.VI
This VI sets the
configuration of the DIO. 8 bits (1 byte) determines the direction
of the digital IO. Specifying the corresponding bit as 1 configures
that bit as input and 0 as output. Since D0 – D2 (see above
schematic) are outputs and D3 is an input we set the configuration
byte to binary 0000 1000From the same VI library, insert the EMANT300 Write Digital Bit.VI
Set
the bit address and the bit state to drive the output accordling.
Therefore, if we are interested to light up the Red LED then we set
bit address=2 and bit state=F. When D2 output is low, current flows
through the diode limited by the 220 ohm resistor to turn on the
LED. Conversely, when output is high, the LED if off.
