Your Front Panel and Block Diagram should look like this. Notice that on the Block Diagram, a terminal called Lux is shown. Each time, you create a control on the Front Panel, its corresponding terminal will be created in the diagram to allow you to draw your connections (or program)

Now we will create the following block diagram that reads in the voltage using the DAQ card and converts the voltage to light intensity in Lux (see page 5 for equation).

  1. Insert EMANT300 Read Analog.VI from Functions palette using Select a VI

    Right mouse click to bring up the Functions Palette. Bring your mouse to Select a VI and click on the icon. Go to the Drivers folder and locate the VI library EMANT300.llb Select the EMANT300 Read Analog.VI This VI reads the voltage across the 10Kohm resistor.

  2. From the same VI library, insert the EMANT300 Initialisation.VI and EMANT300 Close.VI
