1. The VIs that reads the analog voltage and converts the voltage to Lux has shrunk into a subVI. The benefit is that in the future if you need to read the light intensity, you just need to insert this subVI into your diagram.

  2. Save the VI. Select File->Save. The following dialog box will pop up reminding you that you did not save your subVI.


  3. Click OK. Go to the Working VI folder. Name the subVI Lux.vi

  4. Close the VI.

Note: In this exercise, you have created two VIs.

  • Top level VI called Loop Example Ex 3.vi

  • SubVI called Lux.vi
